Are you setting goals for 2020? How’d you do for 2019?

I love this time of year when you sit down and start planning next year. What can be even more beneficial is looking back at the intentions you made for this year and evaluating how you did.

This exercise is not meant to bring you down for things you didn’t accomplish, but rather give you a chance to celebrate your wins and recalibrate so you can set realistic intentions for the next year.

One of my intentions for 2019 was to meditate every day. Looking back, there were days I missed. But more importantly, is my attitude towards meditation now. I have done it enough days consistently to know that I feel better when I meditate. I like to feel good!

Going forward one of my new intentions in 2020 is to feel good as much as possible. I know that meditation makes me feel good, so you bet that is something I will be working into my everyday schedule.

As you set your intentions, goals, or resolutions for 2020 I encourage you to look back at 2019. Evaluate what worked and what didn’t and then readjust your intentions for next year. After all, like a very wise Albert Einstein once said, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
